Brocock Alloy Buddy Bottle (legacy rifles)
This Brocock Alloy Buddy Bottle fits legacy rifles, manufactured pre-2017; this includes Brocock Bantam and Bantam 2 models. It will also fit post-2017 XR Series models designed with a buddy bottle powerplant, such as the Sniper XR. (Note: It will not fit the Concept XR, Pathfinder XR or Ranger XR models.)
Capacity
Two buddy bottles are available:
- 400cc
- 500cc
Each bottle is supplied without any valving and they simply screw-fit to the rifle’s action. However, BRK Brocock recommends a new buddy bottle is always fitted by a professional and qualified gunsmith.
Construction
The 400cc buddy bottle and also the longer 500cc version are constructed in alloy. The finish is gloss black anodizing. Luxfer manufacture these bottles in the UK.
Rating
Maximum working pressures for these bottles are:
- 400cc – 232 BAR (3,365 psi)
- 500cc – 250 BAR (3,625 psi)
Why bottles need replacing
Airgun buddy bottles are high pressure vessels, albeit for ‘surface use only’. Therefore, you must test and / or replace PCP airgun buddy bottle every 10 years. This is important. If you fail to do this, it may result in your air rifle becoming dangerous. BRK Brocock recommends that you have your Brocock PCP air rifle checked over at one of our Authorized Service Centres.
