BluePrint Adjustable Reach-Forward Mounts

30mm rings, with 11mm Dovetail or Picatinny clamp

BluePrint Adjustable Reach-Forward Mounts have the same exacting specifications as their Standard Two-Piece Mounts. However, these have added features of height, tilt and reach adjustment. So this makes them ideal for difficult mounting applications. Exclusively made for BluePrint, MTC Optics recommends BluePrint Mounts for its MTC range of sights.

These adjustable mounts designed to fit scopes with 30mm body tubes. They will not fit scopes with a 25mm (1″) tube. There are two models in the range – one to to fit 11mm (3/8″) ‘airgun’ dovetails and one to fit Picatinny / Weaver receivers. BluePrint Adjustable Reach-Forward Mounts are rated for:

  • Recoilless airguns
  • recoiling airguns
  • rimfire firearms

Design

These mounts are manufactured to the highest engineering standards with precision CNS machinery. BluePrint use only the correct materials – aircraft quality alloy. This ensures your scope aligns correctly and doesn’t move under recoil (or temperature changes). Their hard anodised matt black finish is anti-reflective. They evenly spread the load across the scope tube to avoid stress.

Adjustment system

The front mount extends beyond the clamp; it can be adjusted for height, tilt angle and reach. The rear mount adjusts for height and tilt-angle. They are ideal for scopes with large objective bells because they raise it clear of the receiver. Also, the reach-forward feature is a great mounting solution for rifles with short receivers. If required, the mounts are reversible to provide a more laid back eye-relief. Additionally, these mounts suit long-range rifles, which require the scope to be tilted in line with the bore.

Compatibility

The cradles of these ring mounts can be adjusted for height. The adjustment range is 7mm. This provides a clearance of 15-22mm between scope tube and receiver. In addition, the tilt angle between the front and rear cradle is adjustable. This lets you to optically centre the scope – a major benefit. An optically centred scope means you don’t have to dial the scope’s adjustment turrets by much to achieve the perfect zero. Such a feature is also handy for long-range shooting and saves ‘shimming’ the rear cradle. Additionally, the linear design of the BluePrint’s adjustment system will stop any undue stress to the scope body.

The reach of the front mount is also adjustable and the range of forward/aft adjustment is 17mm. Use the supplied hex/star tool to make the adjustments.

Important

Fitting a scope to a rifle may seem simple but, in fact, it has an extremely important bearing on your shooting accuracy. Ill-fitting, flimsy and misaligned mounts will contribute to poor accuracy, not matter how good the shooter and the ammunition. Therefore, never be tempted to fit your scope with cheap, inferior mounts. The build standard of BluePrint Mounts ensures optimal scope-to-rifle marriage, so when you invest in a set of BluePrint mounts, you can be sure of the following:

  • A BluePrint mount will be engineered correctly to avoid stress on the scope’s body tube
  • A BluePrint mount will correctly align your optic to the rifle’s bore
  • A BluePrint mount will stay put on your rifle’s receiver and not creep under recoil
