B-STOCK Bantam Skeleton Soft Touch stock #205

This is a B-STOCK Bantam Skeleton ‘Soft Touch’ stock (#205) with a Soft Touch finish in black. This is applied over beech wood. The stock is missing some of its constituent components. The Bantam / Compatto models are now obsolete, and many ‘new’ spare parts, including its various stock types, are either sold out or have limited availability.
It is genuine BRK Brocock factory replacement stock and fully functional, but due to some slight blemishes or other reasons, it is not in the condition we consider ‘new’. We are therefore able to offer it as a B-Stock item, at a reduced price that reflects the imperfections (see condition report below).
What is B-Stock?
A ‘B-Stock’ item is a product which we consider is not ‘new’ (or ‘A-stock’) for a number of reasons. It may be because there is some cosmetic flaw, imperfection or damage, that spoils the look of the item, but which does not stop it from properly functioning. In some cases, it may be a test item that’s been returned, so we can no longer sell it as new. We offer such B-Stock products at a one-off, reduced price and provide a fully outlined condition report of it. B-Stock items are inspected, tested and sold as being fully functional. They are also offered with a (reduced) six-month guarantee against faulty workmanship. However, any flaws outlined in the B-Stock listing are not covered under this six-month warranty.
Why you might want a B-Stock item
Unless stated to the contrary, all B-Stock items are guaranteed fully functional. While their reduced price is reflective of the flaws, it gives people the opportunity to acquire the item much more cheaply than if buying it new. In the case of a gun stock, it might be that you want to replace your tired-looking, existing stock. Or you may want to protect your current stock by using a cheaper replacement for the field or range. Or you may simply want to practise working on this stock with a bit of DIY, safe in the knowledge that you’re not going to ruin the factory stock fitted to your pride and joy!
Condition Report of this particular item
Our factory technicians have inspected this stock. They consider its condition to be B-Stock for the following reasons:
- Clean and still has that high-grip ‘feel’, but it is missing some components, viz:
- No cheekpiece assembly
- No butt pad assembly
- No trigger guard or stock bolts

Compatibility
Will fit all Bantam models, although you will need to use some of the fitments from your existing stock. The stock features cutaways to accommodate the side-mounted gauge and power adjustment knob.
Design and Features
This stock is made from beech wood, over which has been applied a special, high grip ‘Soft Touch’ finish, in anti-reflective matt black. It is a ‘skeleton’ type stock, with an ambidextrous grip. So it can be used by both right- and left-handed shooters. Chequering panels have been etched into the pistol grip and forend. “Brocock” has been laser-etched into the forend sides.
Fitting
This stock fits using the rifle’s existing fixing bolts.
