Scope Features
The MTC Viper Pro TACTICAL 5-30×50 Scope is based around a 30mm, aircraft-grade aluminium tube. This is a zoom telescopic sight, with a variable magnification range of 5x power to a whopping 30x power. Its objective lens is 50mm, so the target image is bright even in low-light conditions.
It features MTC’s own SCB2 multi-aimpoint reticle that ensures plenty of aimpoints to counter trajectory and windage deviation without obscuring the target. Its crosshair is set in the second focal plane (SFP), which can also help with range-finding when using the bracketing system.
IR Illuminated Reticle
The MTC Viper Pro TACTICAL 5-30×50 Scope comes with an illuminated reticle (IR). Operated by a push button, the centre of the reticle lights up in red. Also, you can dial in six, different brightness levels to suit any lighting scenario. So you can keep shooting long after the sun has dipped below the horizon!
The scope also features low-profile ‘tactical’ click-stop elevation and windage adjustment turrets. These adjust in 1/4MOA. 1 click =1/4in at 100 yards.
Besides resettable verniers, the adjustment turrets are also lockable.
Sidewheel Parallax
Parallax error is a major cause of inaccuracy. The Viper Pro Tactical is equipped with a sidewheel that lets you easily dial out the error. On higher magnifications, parallax adjustment can also help you range-find like this.
The Viper Pro Tactical’s parallax adjusts down to just 10yds. This is particularly useful for airgunners who often shoot at close range.
Lens Covers
The MTC Viper Pro Tactical comes complete with a set of magnetic flip covers. Additionally, the rear cover contains a 2x magnifier. This helps you read the parallax and turret verniers.
